Private door-to-door transfer from Bertem to the terminal at Zaventem

A car of your own at a sensible rate, arranged online in about a minute and confirmed before you have closed the tab: that is the short version of an airport ride from Bertem. Days ahead you already have the name, mobile number and licence plate of the driver who will be standing outside your front door, and on the morning itself you can watch the car approach on the map. Nothing gets added to the bill afterwards, and the service runs at four in the morning exactly as it does at four in the afternoon. Bertem is one of those Flemish Brabant villages that happens to sit closer to the runway than most city addresses do. The municipality covers Bertem itself, Leefdaal and Korbeek-Dijle, spread between open fields and the Bertembos, with the Romanesque Saint Peter's church at its centre and Leuven only a short drive to the east. From practically any street here the driver slips onto the E40 and runs along the eastern edge of Brussels towards Zaventem: roughly 18 km, and 15 to 25 minutes when the motorway is behaving. That makes this the classic early-flight ride. Think of the six o'clock check-in where the alternative is standing on an unlit platform with a suitcase, or the Monday departure of someone who flies for work every week and would rather keep the laptop open than leave a car in long-stay parking for five days. A taxi from Bertem to Brussels Airport starts at €45 for a vehicle carrying up to three passengers.

A taxi from Bertem to Brussels Airport starts at €45, and that figure covers the whole vehicle for up to three people rather than each seat. Your actual fare depends on the exact pickup street and how many of you are travelling, and the booking module works it out on the spot before you commit to anything.

Included in what you see: live tracking of your flight, waiting time at no charge if something slips, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before the pickup. The quote at booking is the amount due to the driver. A child seat, a Maxi-Cosi or a booster can be added on request.

Why Bertem Travellers Book This Ride

This is a Belgian firm with more than ten years behind it, not a marketplace passing your booking along to whoever answers first. The driver who turns up in your street in Bertem is the one named in your confirmation, the Mercedes is clean, and the route to the terminal is one he has driven hundreds of times. What the screen quoted at booking is what changes hands at the end, and the line stays open around the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the drive from Bertem to Brussels Airport take?

Between 15 and 25 minutes for the 18 km, depending on how busy the E40 and the roads around Zaventem are. Early morning departures usually sit at the quicker end of that.

What time will the driver collect me for a very early flight?

You give us the departure time of your flight and we set the pickup to match, allowing for the check-in window and for the traffic expected at that hour. Nights and weekends are covered the same as any other slot.

Which part of the airport do you drop me at?

At the departures level of Brussels Airport, right by the terminal doors, so you walk straight in with your bags instead of crossing a car park.

Do you pick up in Leefdaal and Korbeek-Dijle as well as Bertem centre?

Yes, anywhere in the municipality. Type the exact street and number when you book and that is where the car waits.

How much luggage fits in the car?

A standard car comfortably takes three passengers with their cases. Travelling with more people, skis or a bulky pushchair? Pick a larger vehicle in the booking module and the boot space is reserved with it.

What does it cost and how do I pay?

From €45 for the car. Settle it in cash or by card with the driver, or pay online beforehand if you would rather have it done.
